Prince Henry's Teaching School Hub
Prince Henry’s Teaching School Hub is part of the Worcestershire Hill’s Trust and is based at Prince Henry’s High School, an Outstanding comprehensive school in Evesham, Worcestershire.
Through our work as a Teaching School, Teaching School Hub and SCITT, we have forged strong local partnerships with schools, educational settings and Higher Educational Institutions. Through this work, we have forged a strong reputation for high-quality professional development, supporting teachers, educators and school leaders at all stages of their career. In doing so, we draw on the expertise across our diverse partnership, offering more bespoke and local professional development and training where possible.
In conjunction with our Strategic Partners, Partner Schools and Lead Providers, we deliver on the following five key areas of the DfE’s ‘Golden Thread’ of professional development:
- A provider-led Early Career Teacher Entitlement programme
- A school-led Initial Teacher Training programme.
- Appropriate Body services for Early Career Teachers, ensuring full support, monitoring, guidance, and fair and consistent assessment procedures.
- A Continuing Professional Development programme, focussed upon National Professional Qualifications and the new Early Headship Coaching Offer, that identifies and develops future leadership potential.
- A network of support for schools in the following areas: Wychavon, Worcester, Wyre Forest, Malvern Hills and Herefordshire
Our Aim
Our aim as a Teaching School Hub is to:
- Develop a culture of shared moral purpose, openness, honesty and trust across all strategic and partnership schools.
- Secure outcomes that provide value for money.
- Provide purposeful activities that will directly impact upon the nurture and progression of teachers.
- Focus upon enhancing school-based CPD and leadership development opportunities to impact upon classroom practice and therefore the progress and outcomes of learners.
- Develop a self-sustaining and self-improving school system by providing support where needed.
